Job Overview
Requirements:
- Qualification as Nuclear Medicine Radiographer
- Current registration with HPCSA
- Own reliable transport
- Availability to be on call and to work after hours as required
- Sound knowledge of hot lab operation and maintenance, radiopharmaceutical administration and nuclear medicine imaging procedures
- Skill and patience in patient care and communicating with patients
- Knowledge of and attention to radiation protection, infection control and all other aspects of patient- and staff safety in a nuclear medicine department
- Knowledge of quality control and care of gamma cameras and other nuclear medicine equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to take on administrative and reception tasks as required
The main purpose of this position:
- Our clients practice comprises two sites
- Our patients represent all walks of life and present a widely varying range of pathologies
- Our after-hours work is very limited and rotated between the radiographers
