JOB PURPOSE:

To develop and deliver the sales strategy nationally for designated business divisions. The role is to achieve or exceed the company’s sales expectations. The role will also be responsible for developing and managing key accounts to ensure their needs are met through the products and services offered

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To achieve sales expectations through ensuring that the sales team offer products and services to meet the customer’s needs

Identifying new business opportunities across all channels

Supporting sales activities to achieve total sales outcome and understand the ordering, stock replenishment processes

Provide monthly reports on activities and ensure that expenses are managed within budget at all times

Ensuring that the team are compliant with the company code of compliance, Medical Device

Regulations South Africa and ISO13485

Manage, lead and coach the team to ensure that they develop a sustainable performance culture. This is achieved through meeting their sales and business Targets, living the principles of leadership, accountability, commitment and execution (L.A.C.E), completing tactical activities to the best of their abilities and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Ensure high knowledge, understanding and application of all products and services for the team. Identifying training needs and addressing them through the use of the PDP, field coaching, training policies and conferences

Ensuring use of marketing materials is in line with marketing strategies

Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Key Accounts to further establish the company as a best in class supplier

Manage nominated key accounts to ensure that sales targets are always achieved, that annual plans are developed, reports are provided on a regular basis and liaise with the sales and management teams to ensure all activities and commitments are met

Upholding the high ethical and compliance standards that are integral to business, whilst driving performance and a continuous improvement best practice culture

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

A degree or equivalent in either business or life sciences

Minimum of 5 years sales management – preferably within the healthcare/ medical devices market

Familiarity with the medical device industry

Knowledge of healthcare systems and decision-making processes

Strong understanding of the market and/or similar product portfolio(s) to develop strategies and tactics to drive the business

Upholds the high standards of working a medical device business including ISO13485
