Duties & Responsibilities:
Planning
- Open a job card
- Upload onto system (Envisage)
- Ensure all relevant information is complete and accurate according to checklist in file
- Calculate bill of quantity of materials
- Generate orders for production scheduling according to standard lead times
- Prepare stock requirement for buyer
- Assist Project Planners
- Ad Hoc assistance to Contract Manager
Project Planner Trainee
- Ensure project scheduled on time and within budget as per quotation
- Organize sub-contractors to start project according to scheduled plan
- Organize transport for sub-contractors when necessary
- Attend site meetings when requested to do so
- Prepare progress report and distribute to relevant departments
- Communicate regularly with factory department, sales department, finance
- department, sub-contractors and clients
- Progress Claims – Ensure correct billing of sub-contractors matching it against the quoted agreement and handing it to the finance department for payments
- Ensure equipment needed on site is ordered (E.g. Lifting equipment)
- Arrange Site cleaning with skips.
- Costing reports
- Issuing of Shop Drawings
- Extra Quotes for main jobs
- Premeasuring of BOQ
- Work away / work on site
- Issue of programs
- Site Visits for info
- Health and Safety File for projects
- Prepare and Issue Handover files
- Claiming Forecasts for Finance
- Quotes from suppliers
- Create whatsup group for each project.
- Snagging and Signing off of jobs
- Issue completion certificate on successful completion of project
