To coordinate quality efforts and safety issues in support of the hospital management team and monitor the effectiveness of infection prevention management system.
Job Description
- Identify and mitigate key risks and critical risk controls
- Co-ordinate and manage the incident register and investigations
- Coordinate and manage OHS and waste administrative processes
- Implement and coordinate and document control of the Hospitals SHEQ and Quality management system policies and procedures
- Manage hospital emergency and disaster plan by ensuring updates are done and statutory emergency drills are conducted
- Coordinate the Hospital medical surveillance program
- Coordinate health and safety committee and ensure legal compliance
- Conduct risk assessments annually
- Reporting of employee injuries and occupational diseases
- Managing, coordination and update of the central document control data base
- Set standards for quality and health & safety
Minimum Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Nursing with at least 3-5 years’ experience
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation Experience as Incident Investigator
- Ability to capture data correctly and manage incident register
- Experience in a leadership role i.e., Unit Manager/Supervisor will be an advantage
- Current registration with SANC
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry and its challenges
- Computer proficiency
