Senior Administrator – Insurance – Southern Suburbs – Cape Town

JOB PURPOSE

To administer all insurance claims (Commercial & Residential) – This will include the insurance policies taken out for Body Corporates and act as liaison between the company and the insurance broker

The ideal candidate would be a strong Administrator, a confident, self-motivated individual who consistently strives for excellence

The successful candidate will be required to manage a high volume workload, have the ability to manage their own time and work to deadlines

The successful candidate will join a successful, well established business, working with an energetic and fast moving team

 

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the entire claims process from receipt until settlement
  • Liaise with Portfolio Managers, clients, suppliers, accounts department and insurers to collate all documentation in order to settle claims as speedily as possible
  • Log claims with insurers, on database and monitor their status
  • Managing and maintaining records of all claim information
  • Liaise with claimants to resolve any issues
  • Arrange for claim settlement and excesses to be finalized with appropriate departments
  • Consolidated summary of annual insurance – ensure that the schedule balances
  • Analysis of each building to determine insurance rating
  • Ensure valuations are done in a way to tie back to insurance cover
  • Compiling of monthly reports, i.e. claims, renewals, risk surveys and valuations

 

REQUIREMENTS

Matric

3 years proven experience as an Administrator

 

Skills and Attributes:

Advanced Computer skills (Word and Excel)

Proven organizational and administrative skills

Professional communication skills – both verbal and written

Customer service orientated

Neat in appearance

Self-motivated and strives for excellence

Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsible, accountable and dedicated

Specific Requirements:

Clear health record

Clear credit record

Working hours are Mondays to Fridays, from 08h00 until 17h00
