Sausage Filler – Montague Gadens


  • Batching, mincing, blending and filling of products as per order picking slip
  • Operating the mincer, blender, bowl cutter and sausage filler
  • Assembling and dismantling of all equipment in your section
  • Ensure that you are wearing clean undamaged protective clothing as per company policy
  • Meet the daily production output as planned for your section
  • Ensuring the selection of the correct base stock for orders
  • Ensure the use of the correct meat cut for specific orders
  • Ensure the use of correct base product quantities as per product recipes
  • Ensure the correct recipe is used for every batch of products
  • Ensure stock rotation when selecting products from the chiller or freezers
  • Ensure the use of the correct packaging material for the correct product
  • Ensure correct pre – planning of available base products to ensure adequate production of stock needed
  • Ensure that all products have the correct batch or lot numbers
  • Ensure conformity in taste, texture, weight, size, colour and visual appearance of all products
  • Ensure finished products are checked for deviations from quality standards
  • Ensure that products are in line with customer specifications
  • Ensure product is packed to customer specifications
  • Ensure product is correctly weighed and labelled
  • Ensure that all final products are labelled with the correct batch or lot number
  • Ensure good housekeeping practises in your dedicated work area
  • Maintain measures to reduce wastage of products during production
  • Work thoroughly and avoid unnecessary off cuts or floor waste
  • Rework as many off cuts and rework products as possible
  • Ensure that temperature controls to products are adhered to and that the correct thawing procedures are followed



  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) compulsory
  • minimum of 1-2 years’ experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Industry related experience
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Solid time management
  •  Be able to work well in a team.



Mondays from 07:00 -18:00 / Tuesdays – Thursday from 07:00 -16:30

Fridays from 07:00- 14:30

Saturdays – Alternative

Sundays: off / Public holidays: off (unless required to work)



R1000 – R1200 p/w CTC (negotiable)
