Our Client, a medical Devices Company has a vacancy for an Area Sales Representative. The candidate would have to cover Johannesburg Central and West Rand (Government Hospital Sales Territory Only)
Job Description
- Planning and prepare (client mapping, area planning, monthly planner, plan VAC machine audits, servicing of machines, machine sanitisation and movements, know your monthly/annual sales targets, assess the potential vs actual of each hospital, assess buying patterns of hospitals from weekly sales dashboard, strategize for each hospital visit – with the objective to increase your sales/revenue.
- Verify and update individual Hospital Strategy information (KOL movement, the competition etc.) after each visit to ensure accuracy of information captured on CRM.
- Maintain and drive constant Call Rates.
- Conduct weekly VAC Machine Audits.
- Ensure that Servicing and Maintaining of VAC Machines are carried out.
- Update service records.
- Update hospital strategy/sales potential spreadsheets.
- Build strong relationships with Doctors, Nurses, Matrons, Unit Managers, Pharmacy Managers, Theatre Managers, Surgeons, Procurement/Supply Chain and Technical.
- Continuously develop one’s sales, product, technical and clinical knowledge. Read up on clinical studies when waiting for a nurse or doctor. Go through your sales training/refresh your memory. Role play a meeting in your mind before meeting a key hospital KOL.
- Follow up on quotations.
- Conduct in-service/customer training on a regular basis promoting (sample/trial) our range of NPWT products. Maintain training records.
- Upload accurate and insightful comments of each hospital visit on Skynamo daily.
- Identify surgeons and HCP’s in each hospital who use NPWT products.
- Gain permission to do a cases with these Doctors.
- Create awareness about the benefits of NPWT and conduct promotional activity.
- Defend the products against competitors.
- Ensure hospital stock levels are maintained to avoid out of stock situations.
- Analyse defined customer problems and create solutions to satisfy customer.
- Grow sales territory in public sector hospitals.
- Achieve quarterly/biannual/annual sales targets.
