Sales Representative – Epping – Cape Town

Our client, Distributors of Industrial Fasteners, Nuts, Bolts and so forth are looking for a dynamic, experienced and seasoned Sales Representative who will be responsible for:

 

  • Identifying and managing growth of accounts in the region through rigorous account management, excellent relationships and a clear sense of goals and priorities
  • Awareness of marketplace trends and influences is also essential
  • Driving sales in company lockbolt fastening systems sales in the mining, transport, solar, construction, engineering etc. industries

 

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in building Sales Strategies in line with the business plans:
    • Target new clients and expand market share
    • Develop and maintain existing customer base
  • Increase brand market share through regular one-on-one contact with clients, as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Utilize planning and forecasting tools to accurately plan business
  • Present marketing initiatives to customers
  • Liaise with clients regarding delivery dates to ensure service excellence
  • Turnover growth in lockbolt fastening systems sales
  • Evaluate market, provide feedback to manager as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • At least 3 years’ relevant sales representative experience selling fasteners
  • Ability to meet non-negotiable deadlines and sales targets
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels in an organization
  • Proven ability to get things done quickly, strong work ethic and be able to deliver within a pressurized environment
  • Must be available to work extra hours and on weekends when requested
  • Must have excellent MS Office skills
  • Above average command of English and Afrikaans (added advantage if the candidate can speak another South African languages)
  • Proactive, self-motivated and target-driven
  • Extensive product knowledge of lockboltfastening systems
  • Current customer base in the lockboltfastening system market
  • Valid unendorsed driver’s Licence

 

A market related commission-based remuneration package is offered, which includes use of a company car and cell phone, membership of a pension fund, life insurance and funeral cover.
