Plumber Artisan – Tokai – Cape Town


Repair and maintain plumbing (all plumbing related equipment) by replacing defective washers, or replacing or mending broken pipes

Maintain, repair and lubricate sewage equipment, sewage lines, tanks, floats, pumps, and valves, using hand tools and power tools



  • Performing plumbing/handyman tasks associated with general maintenance and new projects
    Operation of electric hand tools and machinery
  • Ensure that all installations comply with the OHS Act, Quality and Environmental standards and general building regulations
  • Establish sound working relationships with stakeholders including staff, tenants and service providers (contractors)
  • Ensuring that the Maintenance area is kept clean and safe
  • Drawing up a material list and obtain quotes from suppliers
  • Ability to operate within a maintenance/project budget
  • Perform adhoc duties as and when required



  • Grade 12
  • Plumbing certificate or trade test certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Must demonstrate technical ability and plumbing trade knowledge (must be able to read drawings/blueprints)
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Ability to mentor and guide colleagues/assistants
  • Helping where needed and carrying out any reasonable instructions from the Maintenance foreman
  • Must have a high level of reliability and accountability
