Achieving 100% of set monthly, quarterly and annual sales, through effective Direct Selling/Detailing at Independent/Corporate Pharmacies and /Dispensing /Scripting Doctors, within the geographic area designated by the company

 

Product Portfolio

Scheduled pharmaceutical product experience is essential, (preferably not OTC experience)

Anti-infective, CNS, CVS, Respiratory, Anti-Diabetic, Anti-inflammatory, Vertigo, ARV’s in private market

 

REQUIREMENTS

Graduate

Previous Direct Selling experience at Dispensing Doctors / Independent and Corporate pharmacy level

Relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage or relevant Sales/Marketing qualification

 

Experience

Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience

Previous experience in the Generic Market only

Previous Direct Selling experience at Dispensing Doctors / Independent and Corporate pharmacy level

Sales Awards received for Top Sales Achievement

 

Knowledge

Sales strategy within Independent/Corporate pharmacy and Dispensing Doctor environment

Microsoft office suite (eg. Word, Excel)

Repwise/SSD

Adobe Viewer

 

Skills / Attributes

Customer focused, logical thinking, information seeking, punctuality, teamwork and report effectively, and efficiently handle the admin responsibilities

Candidate must be professional, young, energetic and driven

 

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

General – Daily

Candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical knowledge of the company’s product range in order to influence the habits of the targeted healthcare professionals in the assigned territory

Be capable of engaging in a detailing session with all parties (Scripting/Dispensing Doctors and Pharmacists)

Be capable of initiating a ‘switch’ strategy at pharmacy level, due to generic market

Ensure day-to-day flow of information of competitor activities and general company transactions via technology based tools supplied by the company

To grow and develop new business thereby building up a solid customer base

Manage the territory to achieve service level requirements in a cost efficient manner

Maintaining monthly business expenditure within budget

Be present at regional team meetings, cycle meetings and conferences

Ability to build relationships with pharmacy staff including pharmacists and pharmacy buyers

Achieve 100% of set monthly/quarterly and annual sales targets

Provide daily reports/feedback whenever required

 

Pharmacy Training – Ongoing

Organizing pharmacy training events such as formal pharmacy training sessions

 

Wholesales / Shortliner – Monthly

Exposure may be given to a Sales Consultants whereby the management of a Wholesaler/Shortliner will be facilitated

 

Exhibitions / Meetings – Ongoing

To assist where and when required, in promoting the company’s products through organized exhibitions and meetings to demonstrate the benefits of the various products

 

Call Planner / Coverage / Frequency – Weekly

Submission of call planner on a weekly basis to the direct line manager & Adhere to coverage and frequency expectations set out by direct line management

 

Territory Feedback – Monthly

Submission of monthly territory feedback report to direct line manager
