Requirements:
Qualifications
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) – essential
- NQF level 6 Tertiary qualification – advantageous
Experience
- Previous sales experience in the medical device industry or healthcare sector is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of medical devices and surgical environments (advantageous)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- High level of professionalism and ability to work in high-pressure theatre environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clinical staff
- Strong administrative skills and accuracy in documentation
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to complete digital and physical documentation reliably
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel between hospital sites
- Flexibility to work variable hours aligned to surgical schedules, including after-hours and Weekends
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Meet with potential new healthcare professionals to introduce products and generate new business opportunities
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure continued business and customer satisfaction
- Promote and position Integrated Medical Systems’ product portfolio in alignment with company strategy
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Client & Customer Service
- Respond to customer requests for quotations and product information promptly and professionally
- Conduct demonstrations and in service training
- Act as a trusted point of contact for all client needs and escalate issues when necessary
Administration & Inventory
- Complete sales paperwork, reports and follow-up on hospital quotations and orders
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and product usage
Training & Professional Development
- Attend training sessions to stay up to date with product knowledge, new product ranges, and market developments
- Continuously update knowledge on competitors, industry trends, and regulatory changes
- Participate in medical congresses, workshops, and exhibitions to represent Integrated Medical Systems and build networks
