Medical: Product Specialist / Sales Representative – Western Cape

JOB PURPOSE

To market and sell the Company’s brands effectively to achieve sales targets as set out in the annual plans for your territory

Achieve targets by understanding the needs and wants of the customer within the territory and by providing expert clinical advice and training to key customers

 

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Grow stoma market share in your territory through achieving the desired call rate (usually 6 – 10 per day) for Stomal Therapists (ET’s), Private Nurse Practitioners, Hospitals (State & Private), Nursing Homes and Pharmacies (if required) in a defined territory

Plan and implement territory strategies and activities within agreed company wound care strategies, budgets and timelines

Present at customer and company meetings, forums and other areas as required to drive wound care sales

Gather competitive and market trend information, feeding back to your line manager on a regular basis

Utilize CRM fully to optimally manage your territory, completing activities as required by the company systems and requirements

Maintain knowledge of stoma care through attending relevant training (self-development and CPD)

Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and business development

 

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years sales experience in related field

Stoma care market selling experience is desirable

Familiar with state and private hospital buying patterns

Advanced training abilities

Registered Nurse qualification preferred

Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales

Knows the business – understands the healthcare market within which Hollister products are sold with a solid understanding of government healthcare tenders and private tenders

Upholds the high standards of working a medical device business including ISO13485 and the MDR as it applies to wound care products

Sets vision and strategy – creating a vision for the future of stoma care in their territory

Establish and commits to sales strategies to accomplish agreed goals

Planning, organizing and prioritizing – plans work activities, reviews and prioritizes as necessary to achieve high standards and meet deadlines

Team working – works with others across the Organisation to accomplish goals and identify and resolve problems

 

Travel:

Minimum 2 weeks sales conference

6 weekly country trips plus other overnight trips as dictated by your territory and Hollister strategy
