Management of a specific product range and all related activities



Product & other related training:

Obtain annual certification via training on all relevant products to the Sales Team

Perform ad hoc training and updates to Sale teams and customers

Assist, when needed, during ad hoc training initiatives in field

Develop and present the technical product update during training courses

Responsible for product training for internal employees and new recruits when they start with the company

Provide training for internal staff when required as per the internal training program

Ensure product training tools are updated on a regular basis

Able to support cases in the field where necessary


Development, implementation & tracking of product marketing tools / campaigns:

Perform market research in order to develop the marketing plan per product so as to maximize overall sales per product

Follow internal procedures in order to get the necessary approvals and payments done

Educate clinical specialists of particular marketing tool/campaign prior to roll-out

Have specific roll-out strategy per campaign

Track roll out per CS and account


Support the development of annual sales budgets:

Assist the Sales Manager in setting up the overall sales budget – focus on product groups

Utilise sales history and current sales data to track usage per account and customer

Present monthly sales tracking per hospital and customer to sales force and relevant management

Alert Sales teams and management when changes in sales trends are observed

Evaluate sales vs budget performance per product group – and make recommendations for ad hoc Incentives in conjunction with the Sales Manager


Manage faulty product reports:

When a Sales Consultant is alerted of a faulty product, ensure the necessary procedure is followed to report this correctly Liaise with compliance to ensure all paperwork is correctly filled out and that compliance department has what it requires from an international perspective

Ensure that the Sales Rep follow-ups takes place timeously

Ensure that all Sales people are familiar with faulty product reporting


Product Ordering:

Ensure products are ordered on a regular basis to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained

Work closely with logistics to confirm that monthly orders are in line with overall company orders

Communicate any manufacturing back orders to Management and the CS’s – as and when this takes place


Stock management:

Ensure quarterly stock levels are reviewed and updated in line with sales and company strategy per account

Ensure that CS effect stock rotation requests from logistics

Ensure that company procedure is followed during TC requests


Development, implementation & management of annual marketing budget:

Set up of annual marketing budgets

Tracking of this budget in line with sales (reset if sales target are behind)

Management of all events in line with our internal processes (work closely with BUA)

Proposals to be approved by BoD for any expenditure outside of budget

Responsible for monthly reporting on sales and marketing budget variance against set budget

Prepare project commission evaluation and submit to Head of Sales and Marketing before assessments

Arrange local and international KOL visits in conjunction with the Sales Manager

Responsible for developing promotional campaigns for products

Ensure brand coherence with design when developing any new marketing material to be approved by Legal

Responsible for costing and margin management in conjunction with Finance

Align local strategies with international supplier strategies where possible


Customer development:

Develop strategic relationships with customers in conjunction with SM and CS

Support customer training initiatives as per customer, sales and product plans


Sales & Market share tracking / Competitor activity & pricing tracking:

Report and analyse Local Market quarterly


Development, implementation and achievement of a Health Insurance Strategy:

Responsible for a strategic reimbursement Plan (by product)

Manage all product related queries both internally and externally

Assist with ad hoc projects as and when needed

Assist Management team with the Development and implementation of strategies per market segment

E.g. Hospital groups, Public Sector, Funders and Tenders

Responsible for implementing and developing a successful integrated launch plan for all new products



Ensure compliance with all relevant legal aspects

Ensure that all new development of marketing material is approved by the LM and Legal prior to printing or going out to market place



Relevant medical qualification and clinical experience

Presentation Skills

MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint

3-5 years in similar role

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Time management abilities

Flexible and adaptable
