Medical Night Supervisor – Mitchell’s Plain – Cape Town

KEY OUTPUTS

 

Assess patient acuity

Liaise with a multidisciplinary team

Manage all aspects of the Hospital after hours

Manage, drive and monitor BCA bundles, SHEQ, IPC and Quality principles in the hospital

Co-ordinate and audit after-hour admissions, discharges, stock levels and medication levels

Responsible for issuing medication timeously from the emergency cupboard, as per the Medication Policies

Drive Risk Management processes

Audit patient files to positively contribute to billing and revenue

Ensure all Quality processes are maintained at night

Visible Leadership

Manage the workload as required

Enforce Nursing Standards within the Wards

Provide leadership and training as required

Problem analysis/solving skills and accurate record keeping

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels

Ability to lead the company’s vision and values

Adhere and enforce hospital policies and protocols and quality improvement initiatives

Ad hoc duties

 

REQUIREMENTS

Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse

A Post Basic Qualification in a Specialty will be advantageous

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a Private Hospital setting

Must have broad based experience in general and specialty wards

Good management, planning and organizing skills

Demonstrate professional work ethic

Computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office

Management of staff

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure

Knowledge of the Kronos System
