Medical – Doctor Recruiter – Cape Town

JOB BRIEF

Our client is seeking to employ a dynamic individual who is responsible for the recruitment of Specialists across all specialities for the Medical Company

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing

  • The position will have a direct focus on market share increase and competitor analysis, utilizing all forms of media and interaction (i.e. meetings, doctor visits, industry expertise etc.)
  • Establish support structures and services between referring and consulting doctors and specialists
  • Relationship management with doctors, receptionists, as well as monitoring the co-ordination of the CPD programmes
  • Liaises closely with Client Doctors, Medical Professionals etc. to implement troubleshooting initiatives
  • Liaise and attend to various external users and meetings (i.e. CME’s meetings, General Practioners and Specialists)

 

Specialist Recruitment

  • Proactive, extrovert, who is able to also work within a challenging and structured environment
  • Industry knowledge is vital, specifically the role of specialists within hospitals and industry, and the knowledge of the various specialist training programs across all specialties
  • Having the ability to engage with specialists, selling the Medical Company and private practice
  • Understanding the various methods that can be used to recruit specialists
  • Must be available to travel and work after hours, weekends
  • Network of specialists and related contacts who can provide access to specialists and specialists in training
  • Understanding how to set up a specialist’s practice
  • Ensuring that a new specialist is fully acquainted with the workings of a private hospital
  • Understanding medical aids structures and networks

 

Doctor Relations

  • Specialists Recruitment for the Medical Company
  • A Practice establishment plan for new doctors is implemented and monitored

 

Building & Maintaining Relationships

  • Build and maintain current GP database and networks
  • A system is implemented to ensure that doctor referral patterns/statistics is maintained and communicated

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is required
  • Driver’s license and ability to travel
  • Experience in a medical recruitment position
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with the recruitment of medical doctors would be advantageous
  • Have an understanding of online recruitment platforms
  • Computer literacy including MS Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel
