The main purpose of this position:
The candidate will have the responsibility of designing suitable Marketing strategies to achieve the appropriate positioning, market share and profitability of the product portfolio at national level including neighbouring export markets in Sub-Saharan Africa. This position has full P & L responsibility for the business unit
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our clients nutrition portfolio and drive sales growth and profitability objectives
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Create and manage product launch plans, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns
- Analyse and monitor product performance, sales, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions
- Ensure profitability of the nutrition portfolio in line with the company’s financial objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Lead strategic planning for the nutrition portfolio, including setting long-term goals, identifying growth opportunities, and overseeing product development initiatives
- Develop and execute product roadmap, including identifying new market segments, product positioning, and pricing strategies
- Drive innovation and differentiation in the market through marketing initiatives
- Assist with forecasting to support supply chain operations and ensure efficient inventory management
- Stay up to date on industry developments, regulations, and best practices in nutrition marketing
- Provide product, clinical and scientific support to the sales team
- Ensure thorough understanding of customers’ tendering & quote systems to optimise profitable contract opportunities
- Ensure coordination of the division with other functional areas of the local organisation and global headquarters (Finance, Controlling, Sales Administration, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Customer Services, etc.)
