Logistics Administrator (6 Month Maternity Contract) – Montague Gardens, Cape Town

FMCG Wholesaler in Montague Gardens has an opportunity available for a Logistics Administrator (6 month Maternity Contract) who will report to the Logistics Manager


Main purpose of the position:

  • Ensure that logistics admin is captured correctly and that the delivery trucks are coordinated


Key responsibilities:

  • Contact transporters daily
  • Booking of vehicles from transporters
  • Requesting rates from transporters
  • Preparing trip sheets for all regions
  • Generate a tracking report spreadsheet on excel and updating daily
  • Calling drivers
  • Giving updates to the relevant sales team
  • Resolving any logistics queries
  • Receiving and matching invoices with PO’s
  • Checking that POD’s / DN are correct
  • Communicating with Cold Stores (x3)


Qualification and Experience needed:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification advantageous
  • General computer literate (at least intermediate level) – Windows, MS Word and MS Excel
  • 3 – 5 years relevant experience
  • SAP Business one advantageous
  • Own transport essential
  • Working hours are Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm (hours may fluctuate due to production requirements, weekends and overtime as per operational requirements)


Salary negotiable depending on experience
