The candidate applying for this position must have experience working within an organisation that manufactures and supplies foods, flavouring and seasoning and have a minimum of 2 years product development experience within the field
Job Description
- Formulate new flavours based on customer requirements and market trends
- Flavour modification on existing products
- Develop and manipulate application formulation to the customer requirements
- Compounding of samples
- Conducting sensory panels
- Sourcing new ingredients and evaluating raw materials
- Compiling of product specifications and process methods
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma/Degree – Food Technology/Food Science
- 2-5 years’ experience in a Product Development Role
- Proficient with Excel & Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Manage deadlines effectively
- Proven product development track record
Technical Requirement:
- Understand the key steps in development
- Know how to put a Flavour/Seasoning formulation together
- Excellent sensory and olfactory skills
- Basic understanding of regulations relating to product development
- Interpret customer briefs and meet their requirements
