Job Overview


  • National Diploma or higher in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional registration with a SA Council of Quantity Surveying (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A qualified Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Extensive experience in electrical installation projects, preferably within the refrigeration and food industry
  • Proficient in technical drawing and able to create detailed electrical circuit drawings
  • Strong understanding of construction measurement and costing principles
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical installation processes and components
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software for technical drawings and project management
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and independently

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s dynamic team


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to gather accurate measurements and technical details for quotation purposes
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings for client approval, ensuring all measurements and specifications meet project requirements
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BoM) based on approved work, outlining all necessary materials and components
  • Create and interpret electrical circuit drawings, ensuring proper placement of cable trays and other electrical components
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and efficient project execution
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and manage project budgets effectively
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all project-related activities and communications
