Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain workflow by motivating drivers and vehicle loading assistants to work fast and correctly
• Check that drivers and vehicle loading assistants are at work and report absentees timeously to Logistics manager
• Ensure that drivers and vehicle loading assistants plus you are wearing clean undamaged protective clothing as per company policy
• Assist the Logistics Manager in planning the daily dispatch routes and loading activities
• Source completed invoices from invoicing personnel
• Ensure that all routes are documented on the trip sheet allocated to the delivery route
• Ensure that all individual orders are marked off on the correct invoice copy when loading
• Ensure that drivers and vehicle loading assistants adhere to your instructions and perform their duties as per their job descriptions
• Coordinate and control loading of final orders
• Ensure products is checked for deviations from quality standards such as labels, lot or batch numbers and packaging before loading
• Ensure all products are correctly weighed before loading
• Ensure good housekeeping practices in the dispatch area
• Implement and maintain measures to reduce wastage of and damage to stock being loaded
• Ensure that temperature controls for the dispatch area and all products to be loaded are adhered to
• Train new personnel in loading actions
