Requirements:

• Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse
• At least two – five year’s relevant experience in a Trauma / Emergency Unit
• Post Basic Qualification essential (Trauma / ICU)
• Management experience would be advantageous
• Excellent Leadership qualities and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
• The skill to manage nursing standards and in-service training
• Maintain a professional image and character
• Accurate administration skills
• Commitment to initiate and implement continuous improvement projects
• Excellent MS Office computer skills, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Critical and analytical thinking

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Management of staff within the company’s IR policies, Basic Conditions of Employment and the Disciplinary Code
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures at all times
• Management of staffing in accordance with the company policies
• Manage the day to day problem solving, including stock control
• Conduct regular Quality focus rounds
• Maintain infection control strategies and procedures of the hospital
• Maintain health and safety principles
• Focus on Quality Care
• Evaluation, intervention and resolution of patient complaints and queries
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Manage ad hoc projects as and when required
