Job Overview
Main Purpose of Job:
To ensure that patients are admitted according to hospital policy and procedures and that all necessary information for hospitalization is collected, captured, signed and authorized as applicable.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Bilingual
- Self-motivated, confident, energetic and responsible individual
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Flexible and willing to work shifts

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing a prompt, courteous service to all patients, visitors, wards, doctors, colleagues and other hospitals.
- Admitting of all patients accurately on the SAP system according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Manage the collection of co-payments and private fees.
- Liaising with medical aids to obtain authorization for all admissions.
- High standard of data capturing of completed forms and scanning of relevant documentation.
- Telephone answering duties as per hospital policies.
- Receiving and handling of cash according to company cash management protocols.
- Candidate needs to be flexible and reliable with regards to working hours including night duty, weekends and overtime (shifts – day / night).
- It can be expected of the candidate to work at any other of the Hospitals in Klerksdorp if needed.
