Job Overview

Main Purpose of Job:

 

To ensure that patients are admitted according to hospital policy and procedures and that all necessary information for hospitalization is collected, captured, signed and authorized as applicable.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Grade 12​
  • Bilingual​
  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic and responsible individual​
  • Good verbal & written communication skills​
  • Computer literate​
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts​

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing a prompt, courteous service to all patients, visitors, wards, doctors, colleagues and other hospitals.​
  • Admitting of all patients accurately on the SAP system according to hospital policies and procedures.​
  • Manage the collection of co-payments and private fees.​
  • Liaising with medical aids to obtain authorization for all admissions.​
  • High standard of data capturing of completed forms and scanning of relevant documentation.​
  • Telephone answering duties as per hospital policies.​
  • Receiving and handling of cash according to company cash management protocols.​
  • Candidate needs to be flexible and reliable with regards to working hours including night duty, weekends and overtime (shifts – day / night).​
  • It can be expected of the candidate to work at any other of the Hospitals in Klerksdorp if needed.
