Administrator – Insurance – Southern Suburbs – Cape Town

JOB PURPOSE

Our client is looking for an organized and professional Administrator to administer all residential & commercial insurance claims

This will include the insurance policies taken out for Body Corporates and act as liaison between the company and the insurance broker

The ideal candidate would be a strong Administrator, a confident, and self-motivated individual who consistently strives for excellence

The successful candidate will be required to manage a high volume workload, have the ability to manage their own time and work to deadlines

The successful candidate will join a successful, well established business, working with an energetic and fast moving team

The role is based in the southern suburbs in Cape Town

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifying that all claim information received is appropriate for a claim

Liaise with Portfolio Managers or clients to notify and submit all correct documents on any outstanding documents to submit claims

Manage claims from receipt and submission until settlement

Liaison between suppliers, accounts and insurers to collate all documentation and settle claims as speedily as possible

Log claims with insurers, on database and monitor their status

Managing and maintaining records of all claim information for all to have access to for updates

Coordinate with all claimants to resolve all customer and insurance issues

Arrange for claim settlement and excesses to be finalized with appropriate departments

Follow up with brokers for updates on claims

Consolidated summary of annual insurance – ensuring that the schedule balances

Analysis of each building to determine insurance rating

Ensure valuations are done in a way to tie back to insurance cover

Compiling of monthly reports, i.e. claims, renewals, risk surveys and valuation

 

REQUIREMENTS

Matric

Relevant qualification advantageous

 

Experience & Knowledge:

3 years proven experience as an administrator

 

Skills & Attributes:

Excellent computer literacy

Strong spreadsheet skills (experience in Google Drive, Sheets and Docs preferable)

Excellent administrative skills

Customer service orientated

Good written and verbal communication skills

Data handling skills

Numerical ability

Proven organizational skills

Attention to detail

Able to perform under pressure and deadline driven

 

Specific Requirements:

Clear health record

Clear credit record

No criminal record

Own transport

 

 

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00

The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi time between 07h00 and 18h00
