Senior Marketing Manager – Wound Care Company – Cape Town/Johannesburg

About the Job:

We are looking for a driven, commercially minded Senior Marketing Manager to take ownership of our Wound Care portfolio, including leading brands from the company’s products. This is a senior, strategic role for someone who can bridge clinical credibility with strong marketing capability — shaping portfolio strategy, driving product adoption, equipping the sales team to win, and building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers across both public and private sectors

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing/business, Nursing, or a related Clinical/Healthcare field
• 5+ years’ experience in a marketing role within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare — with at least 2 years at a senior or portfolio-management level
• Strong clinical knowledge in wound care (essential)
• A proven track record in product management or brand marketing, with demonstrable commercial results
• Solid experience within the South African healthcare environment, including public sector exposure
• Strong understanding of tender processes and hospital systems
• Ability to translate clinical evidence into impactful, compliant marketing strategies
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable engaging at executive and clinical levels alike
• Willingness to travel as required

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the marketing strategy, brand positioning, and annual marketing plan for the wound care portfolio, aligned to the company’s broader commercial objectives
• Translate clinical evidence and product data into compelling, compliant marketing campaigns, content, and sales tools
• Partner closely with the sales team, providing training, campaigns, product launches, and in-field support to drive portfolio growth
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and other stakeholders across public and private healthcare
• Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for new product launches within the wound care portfolio
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and tender opportunities to identify and act on growth opportunities in both sectors
• Manage portfolio budgets, forecasts, and marketing spend, reporting on ROI and portfolio performance
• Represent the company’s Medical at congresses, exhibitions, and clinical events
• Collaborate with the company’s products global marketing teams to localise global brand strategy for the South African market
• Mentor and support junior marketing team members where applicable
