Our client, a well-established butchery, is looking for a driven and customer-focused Salesperson to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales, building strong customer relationships and promoting the butchery’s products to both existing and new customers
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12
Previous sales experience, preferably within the butchery, meat, food, FMCG or retail industry
Proven track record of achieving sales targets
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent customer service skills
Confident and outgoing personality
Good organisational and administrative skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Computer literate
Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence would be advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities:
Actively promote and sell the butchery’s meat products and related offerings
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Handle customer enquiries and provide professional product advice
Prepare and follow up on quotations and orders
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Follow up with customers regarding orders, deliveries and outstanding requirements
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products
Liaise with the butchery, production and dispatch teams to ensure orders are processed correctly
Assist with customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
Monitor competitor activity and market trends
Ensure excellent customer service at all times
