Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Food Technology / Food Science or related field
2–5 years’ experience in flavour or seasoning product development (essential)
Proven track record in developing flavours (non-negotiable)
Experience within a flavour house, seasoning manufacturer, or similar environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Solid understanding of flavour formulation principles (sweet or savoury focus)
Ability to build flavour profiles from scratch and troubleshoot formulation challenges
Strong sensory and olfactory capability
Structured, methodical approach to product development and problem-solving
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food/flavour development
Ability to interpret and translate customer briefs into technical solutions
Duties & Responsibility:
Formulate new flavour systems based on customer briefs, application needs, and market trends
Modify and improve existing flavour formulations
Develop and adjust application formulations to meet specific customer requirements (sweet or savoury)
Compound laboratory samples and support product scale-up where required
Conduct and participate in sensory evaluations and panels
Source, evaluate, and approve new raw materials and ingredients
Compile product specifications, formulation records, and processing methods
Collaborate with sales and customers to interpret briefs and deliver suitable solutions
Ensure all formulations comply with relevant regulatory and safety requirements
