The Nursing Manager will be responsible for the overall nursing management of the hospital. This includes the co-ordination of all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of clinical patient care, via the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
Job Description
Ensure that you provide safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of the hospital and evidence based practice
Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
Implement group quality initiatives
Promote customer satisfaction within the hospital (CRM), address customer complaints, conduct quality care rounds and clinical practice audits to monitor care levels and report accordingly
Ensure 100 % reporting of all incidents and alerts
Investigate and Report all incidents as per Hospital policy
Minimum Requirements
A relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree/ or relevant management qualification)
At least minimum 5 years’ experience in a medium to large hospital
Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
