Lodge / Wellness Lodge Manager – Wellness Centre – White River, Mpumalanga Full Time

About the Job:

Our Client is a 5 * Treatment Centre is seeking an experienced and service-driven Lodge Manager to oversee the day-to-day hospitality and lodge operations of its premium treatment facility based in White River.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that resident’s guests receive a professional, comfortable and high-quality hospitality experience. This role requires a hands-on manager with strong leadership, operational and guest-relations skills who can maintain the standards expected within a private treatment and rehabilitation environment.

The Lodge Manager will work closely with the clinical, therapeutic and administrative teams to ensure that hospitality services support the overall wellbeing, privacy, and dignity and recovery experience of residents

Requirements:

• Degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in lodge, hotel, resort, guesthouse or hospitality management
• Previous experience managing a luxury 5* lodge, boutique hotel, wellness facility, rehabilitation centre or similar environment is a MUST
• Proven experience managing housekeeping, food and beverage services, maintenance, guest relations and front-of-house operations
• Strong staff-management, training and performance-management experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong administrative, budgeting and operational-planning abilities
• Knowledge of hospitality health, safety, hygiene and service-quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant hospitality or booking systems
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
• Willingness to be available outside normal working hours when operationally required

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operations

• Manage the daily operations of the Facility
• Ensure that all accommodation, communal areas and guest facilities are maintained to a consistently high standard
• Oversee housekeeping, laundry, catering, front-of-house, maintenance and related support services
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, facilities and public areas
• Ensure that operational procedures are followed consistently across all lodge departments
• Coordinate room allocations, resident arrivals, departures and special accommodation requirements

Food and Beverage Oversight

• Work closely with the kitchen and catering team to ensure high-quality meal services
• Ensure that dietary requirements, allergies and special meal instructions are properly communicated and implemented
• Monitor food presentation, hygiene, stock levels and service standards
• Assist with menu planning and supplier management where required
• Ensure compliance with food-safety and hygiene regulations

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, hygiene, fire-safety and emergency procedures
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address identified risks
• Ensure that employees are trained in emergency procedures and incident reporting
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding residents, treatment programmes and organisational information
• Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure that lodge operations support treatment-centre protocols
