The Deputy Nursing Manager will be responsible for the clinical nursing management of the hospital. This includes the co-ordination of all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of clinical patient care, via the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in consultation with all relevant stakeholders
Requirements:
A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, PGDip Health Services Management)
2-3 Years relevant Management experience in a private sector
Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
Sound financial knowledge and the ability to interpret financial data
Computer literacy
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure 100 % reporting of all incidents and alerts
Investigate and Report all incidents as per the hospital group / Hospital policy
Ensure that you provide safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of the hospital group / hospital and evidence based practice
Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
Implement group quality initiatives
Identify areas of non-compliance via unit’s clinical audits
