About the Job:
Clinical Associate supports for referral generation, including execution of Sleep Testing and Sleep Titrations performed on behalf of and under the responsibility of the Clinical Sleep Specialist
Medical Clinic, the clinical organisation supporting the sleep specialists, has a client base that includes:
Sleep Clinics
Specialists
Referring physicians: General practitioners
who request services related to Testing, Titrations, and Monitoring for Sleep related disorders offered by the Clinical Specialist both In facility and In-Out of hospital
Aim of the Job:
Ensure an effective and efficient process is created and executed on to allow for:
Overnight Sleep Testing
Overnight Titrations and Mask Fittings
Overnight Monitoring and Adherence management to patients of the Clinic
To support the Medical Clinic in:
Referral generation for Sleep Testing and Titrations
Execution of Sleep Tests and Titrations
Report preparation-based results from Sleep Testing and Titrations
Clinical support as appropriate for a Clinical Associate qualification
Throughout the execution of the above tasks the clinical associate will work under the responsibility and authorisation of the Clinical Sleep Specialist
Requirements:
Qualification as per Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice including active registration with Health Professional Council of South Africa
Good communication/negotiation skills in local language(s) and fluency in English, and Afrikaans
Proficient clinical experience and expertise to support execution of tasks under supervision of the clinical sleep specialist
Competent about medical market and competition dynamics
Operates using a structured CRM approach
Strong drive and determined to reach the set targets
Follow through processes applying appropriate tools, tactics and strategies in order to maximize results
Ensure customer satisfaction by timely responding to all customer requests and escalations so that customers find it easy to do business with Clinic
Provide customer feedback using the relevant Medical Clinic and AIRO processes
High level of business ethics as required by medical industry and in line with own qualification requirements and that of the HPCSA
Capable of operating independently of a formal office bound situation or formal direct supervision
Capable of operating out of “normal” office hours in support of execution of tasks
Self-starter in terms of building a presence amongst medical professionals
Will abide to the terms and conditions of employment as per job offer agreed and signed at time of appointment
Duties & Responsibilities:
Execution of Sleep testing, titrations and adherence monitoring for patients in the Gauteng region
Scheduling of patients for titrations and sleep testing both In and Out of Hospital
Execution of Sleep Testing and Titrations as appropriate
Support in reporting on clinical cases as appropriate
Follow up with patient compliance, adherence and queries with clinical escalation to the clinical sleep specialist
Actively promote referral creation for Medical Clinic to support growth in Sleep studies and Titrations for both in and Out of Hospital procedures
Clinical product education to both patients and personnel of the Medical Clinic and allied support organisations (ie Airo)
Recommendation to clinical sleep specialist in terms of support for appropriate clinical protocols
Supporting staff on new equipment, and products
Customer and stakeholder Co-ordination
Resolve client’s queries, problems and complaints, and after clinical services
Conduct presentations and training both In and Out of Hospital, including Cardio Wards, ICU, Medical Wards and Drs practices for all clinical staff and nurses
Ensure customer satisfaction by timely responding to all customer requests so that customers find it easy to do business with the Medical Clinic, and other health care and the Clinical Specialists of the Medical Clinic
General administration duties linked to ensuring back-office processes are effectively executed
Cooperate with Customer Support and Sales Administration and exchange all relevant information about products, services and customer needs
Provide customer feedback using the relevant processes, including any regulatory requirements
Meet required compliance in terms of the Medical Clinic corporate functional and business processes and policies, controls and business principles
Identifying new business opportunities and customer needs to ensure growth
Specific Items
As this requires interaction with patients for overnight studies it may require significant patient interaction after normal working hours. It expected that the individual will manage this process to ensure appropriate work/life balance in coordination of hours worked for the company and patient scheduling
