Nursing Service Manager – Hospital Group – White River Full Time NEW

Main Purpose of Job:

Looking for a dedicated and highly professional Nursing Service Manager to support the Hospital Manager of the hospital at White River. The Nursing Service Manager will play a key role in enabling their leadership to operate smoothly, maintain strategies, focus, and manage both the operational and executive demands of their unique luxury treatment facility

Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse
• A Diploma in nursing followed by a Postgraduate diploma in nursing Management/Health Services Management
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional nurse in a hospital or clinical environment with at least 2 years in a middle or senior management role
• Strong understanding of the National Health Act PFMA, Labour
• Relations Act, Employment Equity Act and OHSC National core Standards
• Strong leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution, financial management and computer literacy (MS Office)
• A valid driver’s licence
• A Master’s degree in Nursing or Health Management is advantageous
• Experience in strategic planning and change management would be advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing nursing care plans, policies and procedures in line with national Health Standards
• Managing staff performance, recruitment, training and labour relations
• Managing unit budgets, procurement and resource allocation
• Ensuring high standards of patient care and safety
