About the Job:
The Industrial Engineer will operate at the intersection of R&D, software development, and operations, ensuring that new and existing products are efficiently designed, tested, integrated, and deployed into production and field environments
This is a hands-on, management-level role requiring strong technical capability, structured thinking, and the ability to translate engineering concepts into scalable operational processes
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering (or closely related field)
5–10 years relevant experience in:
Product development / R&D environments
Manufacturing or assembly (automotive experience advantageous)
Systems integration and process optimisation
Strong understanding of:
Low-voltage systems
Microcontrollers and embedded systems
Hardware-software integration
Experience with:
Process design and optimisation (Lean / Six Sigma advantageous)
Quality control systems and production workflows
Fault finding and technical troubleshooting
Systems thinking and structured problem-solving
Strong analytical and process optimisation skills
Ability to bridge engineering, software, and operations
High attention to detail and quality
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Self-driven with a growth mind-set
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct inspection, review, and research of new product components for inclusion in existing and future product lines
Evaluate technical feasibility, compatibility, and performance within the current ecosystem
Define initial product engagement strategies and approval pathways for testing and evaluation
Work closely with software development teams to:
Integrate new hardware and system components
Conduct testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting
Ensure system stability, safety, and overall product functionality
Oversee the full integration lifecycle from concept through to deployment
Develop best-practice procedures for:
Installation and fitment of products
Testing and validation processes
Documentation and compliance standards
Translate engineering outputs into structured, repeatable operational processes
Support transition from R&D into mass production environments
Design and implement:
Production workflows
Quality control (QC) systems
Testing and sign-off procedures
Establish in-field evaluation frameworks and continuous improvement loops
Conduct ongoing system evaluations and procedure reviews
Identify operational gaps, risks, and inefficiencies
Develop and implement corrective processes and compliance frameworks
Ensure alignment with safety, regulatory, and internal quality standards
Engage regularly with operations teams to:
Understand real-world challenges
Translate field issues into R&D problem statements
Drive practical, scalable solutions
Form part of the software development function in a management capacity
Oversee:
Task allocation
Workload balancing
Timeline tracking and delivery
Provide regular reporting and feedback to senior management
