Sales Manager – Flavours/Food Company – Midrand Full Time NEW

About the Job:

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing, developing and directing the RSA team of sales reps to successfully promote the Company and its products, and maximise sales potential for designated flavours, colours and speciality ingredient products, through leveraging strong business relationships. In alignment with the company strategy, ensure the team attains or exceeds agreed sales volume and monthly budgets for designated products.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years sales and marketing experience (flavours a distinct advantage, however, other industries will be considered)

• Must be able to travel monthly to coastal regions of SA and also in Africa (Zim, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Ghana, Zambia, Botswana, etc) as required.
• Sales experience and sales management experience into Africa is an advantage
• Must have managed a sales team before- current team is 8 people
• Must have strong analytical skills, be fully computer literate, must be strong with Excel and enjoy working with data

• Management experience critical as on-the-job coaching of the sales team is a requirement

• Relevant tertiary business qualification an advantage
• Engages customers in development of solution
• Applies a broad perspective to the sales team challenges
• Makes effective decisions under pressure
• Holds others accountable for high standards and provides clarity on what needs to be accomplished, why and the consequences
• Respects and integrates diverse views by seeking input and incorporating them into decisions/proposals
